Malaysian fuel prices March 12-18, 2026 – RON95/97 petrol +60 sen, diesel +80 sen, Budi95 remains RM1.99

It is Wednesday, which means that it is once again time for the weekly fuel price update, as announced by the ministry of finance for the coming week of March 12 to 18, 2026.

The retail price of diesel fuel of the Euro 5 B10 and B20 blends in Peninsular Malaysia has been increased 80 sen to RM3.92 per litre. Therefore, the Euro 5 B7 blend of diesel, which is 20 sen more per litre, is at RM4.12 per litre for the coming week. The retail price of diesel fuels in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan stays unchanged at RM2.15 per litre. The government has also announced additional assistance for BUDI Diesel recipients – increased from RM200 to RM300 for March 2026.

For petrol, the subsidised RON 95 fuel under the Budi Madani RON 95 (Budi95) scheme remains at RM1.99 per litre; Malaysians with a valid driving licence are eligible for the fuel at a monthly quota of 300 litres.

The price of unsubsidised RON 95 petrol has been increased 60 sen to RM3.27 per litre, while RON 97 petrol has received the same 60 sen hike this week to RM3.85 per litre.

If you’ve been following world news, you would have expected this was coming due to the sharp hike in oil prices due to the conflict in Iran.

These prices take effect from midnight tonight until Wednesday, March 18, 2026. This is the 12th edition of the weekly fuel pricing format for 2026, and the 375th in total since the format was introduced at the start of 2019.

remember malaysia is also oil producer so dsai better bend the knee to Maga and zion if he wants to remain pmx.

Does anyone ever experience prices coming down – after any event that made it goes up, like this conflict – when the global price comes back down? I’ve not. The usual reasons – salary increase, operating cost up, bla bla bla…
