Overview
The Honda HR-V is a five-seat B-segment SUV for buyers who want a petrol, turbo-petrol or hybrid choice within one familiar package. The 2025 facelift range runs from the 119 hp 1.5 S to the 234 hp 1.5 e:HEV RS, all front-wheel drive, and starts from RM115,900.
HR-V in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the HR-V continues as the 2025 facelift rather than receiving a new model-year redesign. The 1.5 S, 1.5 E, 1.5 V and 1.5 e:HEV RS remain in the range. The latest local update adds a 360-degree view camera to the V and e:HEV RS, with no price change. The facelift also brings a wider grille and reprofiled front bumper; the RS gets matrix projector LED headlamps with active cornering lamps.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should start with the RM130,900 1.5 E. Its 179 hp output is a substantial step up from the 119 hp 1.5 S, and the RM15,000 gap is easier to justify than buying the base car purely to hit the lowest entry price. The RM137,900 1.5 V costs RM7,000 more and now gets a 360-degree camera, so check that its extra equipment suits you. The RM143,900 e:HEV RS is the pick for buyers specifically wanting the 234 hp hybrid system and eCVT.

Verdict
The facelift keeps the HR-V’s established four-variant formula and adds useful detail changes without rewriting the car. Its RM115,900 entry point is close to the Chery O5 at RM116,800, MG S5 at RM117,528 and Nissan Kicks e-Power at RM113,800, but it costs far more than the Perodua Ativa, QV-E and Aruz. The E is the sensible performance step; the RS is for hybrid buyers.
