CX-5 in 2026 — what's new
The 2026 Mazda CX-5 is the third-generation model, launching in Malaysia on October 8. It brings a more practical body, a 2.5-litre-only powertrain line-up and no physical controls, with an estimated price of around RM170,000. Malaysian bookings open from June 12, while the third-generation SUV has already secured more than 600 local bookings ahead of launch. A locally assembled version with 60% local content is planned for 2027.

Most buyers should begin with the RM134,469 2.0 2WD Mid: it has the same 162 hp 1,998 cc petrol engine, front-wheel drive, automatic transmission and five-seat layout as the RM151,469 2.0 2WD High.
