Top Gear Video: Ford F150 Lightning

A pick-up truck sporting a 5.4 litre supercharged V8 that makes 380bhp and does the 0-100kmh sprint in 5.8 seconds. You’d think Jeremy Clarkson would like it. Watch this video. He does make a bit of sense though. Let’s find out why the F150 is so popular in the US but didn’t really go anywhere in the UK.

jeremy commented that, the americans need spece to put their guns when out with the lightning because in america there are bears walking aroud.. just in case the bear attack them, but in UK there's no bears..

just like paul said, jeremy coments do make sense, such as, this is no an AWD drive pickup, so not so good when suited it with of road driving.  but heck, mostly the american's trend is more 'muscle' in their rides, so there you go, the F150 suits them well and making it to hit a million sale a year – but in america region only la..

damion, i think i heard that word too!

This F150 Lightning is indeed a beast. Hey, it runs on the same engine as the GT. Of course it could outrun the Boxter easily. But look at the steering. Have you ever got into a situation when you turn the wheel left but the car remain moving straight. Ho! ho! That's suicidal.

By the way…our national car got better interior finishing than the bloody American, don't you think? I wonder between ours and them, who's gonna fall off got fammed first? LOL!

Tats the problem with american, they want it big and they want it fast. Big and fast doesnt match well together, at least doesnt match well efficiently, this thing will drink petrol faster then flush toilet…

I disagree. I have a f150 and it has 70000 miles on it and nothing has ever broke, the dash lines up fine, the steering is fine, and it has four wheel drive. I dont know about milk bottle top brakes, the brakes are big enough to stop a 32000 lb excavator, and it is safer than cars, because it is big enough to run over them. If you are worried about people steeling things out of it, get a lockable bed cover for it
