It may not look like it but the C5 Salon and Tourer have together sold over 400,000 units worldwide since it went on sale in the UK in 2008. This year, the C5 have been rejuvenated with the new corporate identity and have gotten some new toys to play with.
Upfront, the Citroën puts on the new chevrons and if you can’t tell the difference, this one is less sharp than 2008. The C5 also gives buyers the option to have 17 inch Egée alloy wheels with the Exclusive models. There’s a new body colour, too, called Guaranja Brown. The C5 Exclusive’s interior features new components and its upholstery is part leather.
All C5s across the range can also be bundled with the Techno Pack, which costs an additional £700 only. The equipment list in the Techno Pack changes with the variant.
For the C5 VTR, the Techno Pack adds 16 inch ‘Iroise’ alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, eMyWay sat-nav (includes connecting box), chrome window sills and front fog lights. The VTR+ Techno Pack gives the C5 17 inch ‘Ionian’ alloy wheels, eMyWay sat-nav and chrome window sills. The Exclusive Techno Pack includes 18 inch ‘Atlantic’ alloy wheels, front parking sensors (rear sensors are standard with the Exclusive), eMyWay sat-nav and a reverse camera for Tourer models.
Prices start from £19,895 for the entry-level C5 Saloon HDi 115 manual VTR and £20,995 for the equivalent Tourer model.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Curiously, I’m feeling like I’m reading Paultan.org.UK and not Paultan.org.MY .
Should have put some info relevant to local readers.
it’s just paultan.org .since when is there a paultan.org.my?
And then when there is no local scene to report people will complaint about the lack of news.
This is an automotive site. Therefore anything about it is relevant. At least we’ll be aware of what’s happening around us. Especially ones that we don’t get.
What is not relevant is you surf the internet which is GLOBAL. What so you don’t know anything that happens “beyond your local perspective”? Good luck with your life then.
I don’t understand your logic.
The Citroen C5 is available here, and eventually this update will reach Malaysia.
By your logic, does it mean we can only write about the Honda Civic once it is launched in Malaysia, and we must ignore the international launch?
good car, but doesnt make any significant sales here even for the latest model. 2002 c5 sells only at 20k 2nd handed. got hydraulic suspension maaaa.
I like the steering wheel that only turns the rim while the centre remains fixed
well’ nothing much to say about this car….5 years life span is over….citroen trying to sell off all their balance spare parts and chasis….to capture their 450,000 units….very soon!….anyway’ meet the Citroen C4L in malaysia soon…by Naza….
Nice car, juz too expensive for malaysian market, what a pity,
Hmm Honda jazz hybrid cost £19,000 in UK of course… And RM95,000 in Msia… That’s value for money. How much this new C5 will cost in Msia?
you have to pay extra for rear parking sensors ? this is not the 90’s!?
