UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is bringing the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, an annual Toyota international art contest, to Malaysia. The contest, now in its seventh year, has been expanded to include entries from over 70 countries worldwide.
Malaysian children will first compete in the national phase of the contest, before three winners from each age category advances to the international phase. The three age categories are under 10 years, 10-12 years, and 13-15 years. Winners of the World Contest will win a trip to Tokyo to attend the awards ceremony.
“Through the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest, UMW Toyota Motor wishes to strengthen the relationship with local communities and customers, and to make children, who are the future of our society, understand and design cars along with Toyota to create ties with them,” said Datuk Ismet Suki, president of UMWT.
Children can submit their drawings from now till February 15, 2013. More details at www.toyota.com.my.

Instead of coming out with all these contest. it is better Toyota sort out their brake pedal issues ie the ones that stick to the floor mats and cause accidents in the US. Also, all these contest are not important, what is important is giving the Toyota Camry, a RM180,000 expensive car, VSC/ESC, a basic safety features that is even in cheap cars. This feature is so important to save lives. No wonder why RV of Toyota is dropping like mad.
Hey! Just want to ask a few questions…
1. Where do we send the designs to and is there an entry limit per student?
2. Are we supposed to send a description of the car with the designs?
Thank you and please reply soon!
