And here she is, a few days ahead of the Frankfurt live reveal – a single photo has surfaced of the Jaguar C-X17 concept. Viewed head-on, we’re greeted by the familiar Jaguar corporate face, albeit spiced up by LED detailing in the headlamps and those large air intakes.

The relatively high ride height and scuff-plated front lip leave us in no doubt that it is an SUV/crossover. An earlier teaser released by the Coventry-based carmaker showed a roof spoiler, a swooping shoulder line and tail lamps not unlike those found on the F-Type, but little else. All will be revealed soon.

The Jaguar C-X17 concept introduces a new modular aluminium architecture (reportedly called the Premium Lightweight Architecture, or PLA) that will underpin future products, including, it’s said, the upcoming Jaguar XS compact exec.

Go to Jaguar’s Facebook page on September 9 at 17.10 CET (September 10 at 11.10 am, Malaysian time) to watch the wraps come off live.
