Shell Malaysia kicked off the Shell FuelSave Celebrity Driving Challenge with a two-day drive across the Klang Valley last week. The celeb challenge saw Shell FuelSave Ambassador Fahrin Ahmad coach actress Lisa Surihani on fuel efficiency to prepare her for Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2014 that will be held in Manila from February 6-9.
Fahrin and Lisa visited three universities around the Klang Valley, namely Monash, German-Malaysian Institute and UTAR. During the visits, they gained insights into the cars of the future designed by the participating student teams and also played a variety of games. An interactive sketch specially created to bring Shell FuelSave Tips to life was also performed by both celebs, as part of Fahrin’s efforts to educate Lisa on fuel efficiency.
The duo also visited a Shell station in Bandar Utama, where they hosted a meet and greet session with customers. Lisa will be heading to Manila to compete against celebrity drivers from Thailand, Philippines and Singapore to go as far as possible in a Shell Eco-marathon prototype car. The main event will see 150 student teams from 16 countries across Asia and the Middle East create the most fuel-efficient machine.
