Being a classic and vintage car enthusiast, you would be very pleased to find out that Historic Motoring Ventures is currently organising a Private Treaty sales event at the Bangsar Shopping Complex (BSC). It showcases a number of pristine classic and vintage cars ranging from a 1978 Mercedes-Benz 280CE (W123) to a 1959 Porsche 356A Coupe 1600 Super (Series T2).
The event which started Monday, will continue till this Sunday, March 22nd. Historic Motoring Ventures’ Private Treaty sales event is where owners of mint-condition beauties from yesteryears can place their prized-possessions for sale, with prices set by the owners themselves.
According to Historic Motoring Ventures, there has been a sudden increase in the interest and demand for yesteryear vehicles globally. Historic vehicle auctions at major shows worldwide witnessed huge consignments and soaring values. Historic Motoring Ventures believes that such well-documented vehicles provide a tangible investment platform.
The fact that the number of collectors are on the rise while the number of such vehicles are not increasing contributes to the growth. Historic Motoring Ventures also concluded that Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia are fast becoming hot spots for classic and vintage vehicle imports from the North America, United Kingdom and Australia.
Other vintage and classic examples on display include a 1964 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 FHC (Series 1), a 1971 Datsun 240Z, a 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL (W1210), a 1960 Mercedes-Benz 230SL Pagoda (W113), 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet, 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C3, a 1968 Pontiac Le Mans and more.
Five days into the event, two vehicles have found new homes, including a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC (W126) which fetched RM148,000 and a 1978 Mercedes-Benz 280CE (W123) which was sold for RM128,000. So, if you are looking to add a fancy classic to your vehicle collection or simply enjoy the view, be sure to make your way to BSC.

Already been here last 2 days. Yeah, I saw that both Mercedes which successfully sold after read this news.
My comments is one and only. Why organizer and their boys pandang serius mcm nak makan orang pada setiap pengunjung yang datang. Mcm sentri jaga penjara. Look, korang dah letak barricade, orang pun paham, jangan sentuh. Price tag pun takde. Ni dah salah dari segi undang2.
I thought rega Mercedes tu sampai 600k. Klu setakat 140k, bersepah used car rega camni. Takde sampai letak barricade.
Saw it today including the 12C which was in white and salesman was polite and allow you to see it close up. Even at RM2M also they layan you better than a bunch of old cars. Yes, Aston Martin was there too so you can still see and don’t touch due to barrier.
Love the “Z” 1971 240z, wonder how much it cost?
