East Coast flood worsens – donate, help the victims

By now, little needs to be said of the worsening flood situation in the East Coast. The number of people evacuated in the four flood-hit states of Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Perak stood at 103,649 as of this morning, Bernama reported. And while the floodwaters are receding in a few districts, others have worsened.

In times like these, let’s all help our brothers and sisters in Pantai Timur. You can help by donating basic necessities – food supplies (rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles), drinking water and clothes. Items like candles, torchlights and batteries as well as blankets will also be needed, so be generous. We’ve done our part. Take care, all; our thoughts are with you.

  • I’m from Kuala Lipis in Pahang – all roads heading in and out of this little town are flooded. Only four wheelers and heavy vehicles such as tractors, lorries can wade through the flood water. Some residents have to take boat in order to go to town to buy supplies.

I am very happy to help. Our brothers and sisters need the help. Please, I appeal, let us try our best to donate to these people.

But I also feel sad. While I am here interested in helping my brothers who are affected by flood, my very own Prime Minister is enjoying golf with Obama and laughing away. All pictures show Najib smiling happy gila gila.

If I was the PM of Malaysia, not only I will fly home immediately, I will try my level best not to laugh and be happy and try my best to look remoseful for the victims of the flood. After all, when 100,000 people suffer, how can I laugh and smile?

  • The honorable, respected Sultans and the rich Menteri’s probably donated anonymously. Don’t want to blow their own trumpet. That’s why they deserve their huge Bkt Damansara mansions and Bentleys. Wonder if ISIS and Perkasa donated as well, and whether their donations are distributed based on race or religion only.
