The Naza Group has contributed RM400,000 worth of food and supplies to victims affected by the recent floods via its CSR (corporate social responsibility) division. In addition to that, 50 volunteers – comprised of staff within the Naza and Eftra Group – were dispatched to help distribute the supplies.
With a convoy of 12 Chevrolet Colorado and Captiva vehicles, the group made its way to the East Coast with five lorries in tow. A second trip, this time to aid in cleaning and rebuilding efforts, has been scheduled to take place when weather conditions improve.
“In the face of unprecedented flooding, it is heartening to see Malaysians unite and combine resources in order to assist families in need. At Naza, we feel very strongly that we must play a key role in giving back to the community. There is no sense in just sitting around when we have the means to make a difference,” said head of the Naza World Cares initiative, Mr. Ananthan M. Raman.
