Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer has unveiled his “Second Century” plan for the company at Auto Shanghai 2015, aimed at generating growth and development for the British brand as well as ensuring its sustainability and success.

Part of the new strategy is the development of a whole new range of models under the largest investment plan in the company’s 102-year history. Every car in its current line-up will be replaced by the end of the decade, with three new model lines introduced (the long-awaited crossover presumably being one of them).

The new models will not be the only part of the strategy – the company is also looking into new powertrain technologies, including an electric version of the Rapide sedan.

The brand’s Q by Aston Martin bespoke personalisation service will be also be expanded this year, fully integrating itself into the company’s Special Products Divison. The capabilities of the new business unit range from unique interiors to entire cars like the limited-run Lagonda Taraf as well as the Aston Martin DB10 that will star in the next James Bond film, Spectre.

At Auto Shanghai 2015, Aston Martin is displaying the DBX Concept for the first time in China alongside the Taraf. The updated Rapide S and Vanquish are also now available to order in China, equipped with the new ZF-derived eight-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission.
