Attention to all traffic offenders with outstanding arrest warrants, Ops Warta is set to resume in full force from this coming Thursday onwards. That’s tomorrow.

“In May this year, a total of 240,000 arrest warrants were settled of the 1.59 million outstanding warrants. Traffic police nationwide will begin tracing and arresting those who have yet to settle the 1.35 million arrest warrants,” said federal traffic police chief, SAC Datuk Mohd Fuad Abdul Latiff.

“We will be conducting roadblocks and conducting door to door visits to trace and catch these hardcore traffic offenders,” he warned. Fuad had previously stated that the police will not accept claims of offenders not have the money to settle their summonses – a commonly used excuse.

Motorists can check if they have outstanding summons, and settle them, if needed, through many avenues – myeg.com.my, rilek.com.my, and at traffic police counters, post offices, Maybank ATMs, plus selected shopping malls and Road Transport Department (JPJ) branches.
