Motorists heading towards Phileo Damansara take note! There will be a road closure along a section of Jalan 16/11. The closure, set to take place along the Sprint Expressway will commence from 10 pm to 6 am, from tonight (September 25) onwards. In a statement issued by MMC Gamuda, the closure is to facilitate works for the installation of the Phileo Damansara MRT Station entrance link bridge.
Phileo Damansara will still be accessible from Jalan 16/11 for those coming from Jalan Dato Abu Bakar. To exit however, motorists are required to make a U-turn via the overhead bridge which which will take them onto the Sprint Expressway heading towards KL.
After making the U-turn, motorists can detour through Jalan Dato Abu Bakar which leads to Petaling Jaya. Also, motorists can turn right at Jalan 16/16 and make another right turn onto Jalan 17/17, which will take them back onto Jalan 16/11, past the work area.
Road closures are expected to last for 46 days, from September 25 to November 6. According to The Star, MMC Gamuda KVMRT deputy director, Adil Putra, said that the closure would take place on an on-off basis and might not necessarily happen every subsequent night beginning tonight.
