AKLEH toll rate to go up by RM1 on Oct 15, to RM2.50

AKLEH

Yes, here’s yet another toll hike announcement. Beginning October 15, the toll rate on the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Expressway (AKLEH) will be increased, according to a Berita Harian report. For Class 1 passenger vehicles, the new rate will be RM2.50, up a full RM1 from RM1.50. Rates for taxis have also increased by RM1 now at RM1.80 from RM0.80 previously, toll rates for buses remain the same at RM1.50.

The highway concessionaire (Prolintas) previously said that AKLEH’s Class 1 rate would be RM3.50, if it were not for subsidies.

Under the new rates, Class 2 vehicles (small lorries) will have to fork out RM7, a RM4 increase. Class 3 vehicles (big lorries), meanwhile, will get a new rate of RM10.50, as compared to RM4.50 previously.

On that note, toll rates for the Guthrie, Kajang SILK highway, LATAR Expressway, Karak Expressway, DUKE Highway, MEX and SMART tunnel will also see an increase from October 15 onwards.

  • I am happy it has gone up. At least now, our Government has more money for the nation. Thank you BN. I am not being sarcastic but sincerely thank our Government for this increase.

I am happy to give. Be fair, its only a mere RM1. RM1 nowadays cannot even buy gula gula.

To all those not happy, pls pack your bags and leave!

RM1 per entry, which means RM2 for to and fro per day, which means RM10 per week (5 working days), which is RM50 per month (4 weeks), which is about RM500-550 per year (minus some holiday etc). Sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi bukit.

This is a 67% increase! It’s day light robbery. You still end up at the bottle neck when exiting the highway; plus fighting for space with all the motorbikes whizzing by left & right. Bunch of bozos and blood suckers.
