The next generation Subaru Impreza will be previewed as a concept 5-door hatchback at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show happening at the end of this month, but it turns out FHI is already testing the next generation car on public roads.
Some of the next generation car’s design are peeking through the heavy camo – look at the images in the full gallery below and you’ll notice features like the C-shaped tail lamp partially exposed. The rest of the car wears heavy camo though.
No details have been revealed just yet, but expect the next Impreza to soldier on with the existing 1.6 litre and 2.0 litre naturally aspirated flat-four engines, in addition to receiving the 170 PS 1.6 litre Direct Injection Turbo (DIT) boxer from the Levorg; a hybrid variant (like the current Sport Hybrid) could be offered as well. The current transmission options – a manual gearbox or a Lineartronic CVT – should also be carried over.
Apart from this five-door hatch bodystyle, expect the next Impreza to also spawn a sedan variant and a high-riding XV crossover, as well as fire-breathing WRX and WRX STI versions further down the line.

could be new xv. dont look like hatchback.
Now it looks like a proper hatchback, proportion wise.
Wonder how the interior looks like, because I think the 3rd gen model is the best looking imo. 4th gen looked best with the sedan.
1st gen looks best with the coupe
2nd gen looks good with both
3rd gen is really focused hatchback
4th gen looks good with sedan like you said
More like station wagon.
