This weekend, the Kuala Lumpur ASEAN Cycle Fest 2015 event will take place in the city, held in conjunction with the 27th Asean Summit. To accommodate the event, there will be several road closures during the period and users are advised to take heed of them.
According to City police chief Comm Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa, Jalan Raja, along Dataran Merdeka, would be closed from 7.30am to 6pm on Saturday (November 7). Meanwhile on Sunday (November 8), these roads will be closed from 6.30am to 10am to make way for the cycling event:
- Jalan Raja Laut
- Jalan Sultan Ismail
- Jalan P. Ramlee
- Jalan Ampang
- Jalan Dang Wangi
- Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman
- Jalan Raja
- Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin
- Masjid Negara roundabout
Speaking to The Star, Comm Tajuddin said, “there will be road signs and traffic police officers to ease any traffic congestion.” He also urged road users to observe traffic rules and follow the instructions issued by traffic police personnel on that day.
