all these while riders can request rides in shah alam. i’ve picked up a few riders in Seksyen 6, setia alam and also glenmarie.
Uber is already there long time ago but only riders are few.
aku akan cari u dan jahanamkan engkau
In my experience the demand is too low that drivers prefer KL rather than places like shah slam or bangi. However I did get riders from PJ area, which is neighboring to s.alam. let’s hope this news will bring positive impact to uber and the community alike
Good. My office is in Glenmarie and very often I had to get drivers from Subang to come pick me up.
wonder will uber offer long distance ride sharing service to those that travel back home to north, south and east from Klang valley during festival time ? that will be ideally to cut down the traffic on the road during that period…
At the moment the answer is no. The furthest you can go outside klang valley is KLIA. This is due to the fact that one can still get a cheap budget transport and it is known as express bus services. Once you reach cities like JB, already there is uber service waiting.
Uber is there to help the community get an efficient and cheap fare – something Malaysians been missing for years by the taxi companies
You can make the offer privately to the Uber drivers and not go through Uber.
But it will be more expensive since they need to cover the trip back home. So a trip to Ipoh from KL can cost you between RM300 to RM600 depending on the driver.
There is such a service available. It’s called Tripda. Try it out.
