The 2017 facelifted Ford Kuga facelift has made its European debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Updates can be found externally and internally, along with a new turbodiesel engine and some added technology features, including SYNC 3 connectivity (for the Titanium trim and above).
Outside, the Kuga gets a sporty look that’s shared with the EcoSport and the new Edge SUV. Visual elements include a larger upper trapezoidal grille and a smaller lower grille and new headlamps with LED daytime running lights, alongside restyled fog lamps and rear tail lamps.
To add to that, customers now get a choice of 17-, 18- and 19-inch alloy wheels with a variety of finishes including Luster Nickel and a new Copper Pulse shade. Furthermore, there’s a power-operated retractable tow bar that can automatically stow itself away under the bumper, when not in use.
On the inside, air-con controls have been revised with less buttons and switches. Other features include an electronic parking brake and door lock indicator. Elsewhere, automatic Kuga models are equipped with paddle shifters.
In the facelifted Kuga, SYNC 3 is also being offered. The eight-inch touchscreen display comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The system, which has also been officially launched recently is now simpler and more responsive. With pinch-to-zoom and swipe support, the system can be updated over Wi-Fi.
Other updates include adaptive front lighting for the new bi-xenon lights, which reacts to speed, steering and distance of the car in front. The new Kuga gains intelligent all-wheel drive, cross traffic alert and enhanced active park assist (includes perpendicular and parallel parking) and active city stop collision avoidance system (now up to 49 km/h instead of 19 km/h.
A new 120 PS 1.5 litre TDCi turbodiesel engine is available for the front-wheel drive Kuga. The engine joins the existing line-up including the 2.0 litre TDCi diesel mill with two power outputs; 150 PS and 180 PS and the 1.5 litre EcoBoost petrol engine with 120 PS, 150 PS and 182 PS.

Current one looks sharper this one is more bland. Interior is bland too with weird looking centre stack.
Some Darby will kill this car and brand with profiteering prices. This lovely vehicle will have the same fate as the Mondeo.
