The frequency of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services will be increased from March 1, according to operator Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) in a Bernama report.

For the KLIA Ekspres, a peak hour schedule will be introduced on Sundays for the convenience of business travellers. Trains will run every 15 minutes during the morning peak hours from 6am to 9am, and in the evening peak hours from 4pm to 10pm from Sunday to Friday. Trains will run every 20 minutes during off-peak hours. On Saturdays, trains will remain on the off-peak schedule all day.

For the KLIA Transit, ERL said there will be additional services in the morning of weekdays and evening peak hours with trains departing every 20 minutes, or three times per hour.

Both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit connect KL Sentral in the city to KLIA and KLIA2 airports. ERL prices went up from RM35 to RM55 on January 1, 2016. New timetable after the jump.

Why increase it? Nobody even takes it anymore. This is how the bodohs think, empty trains, run more frequently. Before price increase, when they did have some passengers, they never thought of increasing frequency then.

People now rather take Uber to the airport. Far cheaper. Now, the KLIA express is like ghost train. Completely empty
