Known for his soothing, calmly tone, Morgan Freeman’s unique voice will soon be guiding drivers using Waze in the US. In the video, we hear him giving drivers life advice and telling them how hopeless they may be as individuals. Do watch the funny clip above.
As for the reason behind Freeman’s voice being on Waze, this is actually a stunt to promote his new movie – London has Fallen (sequel to Olympus has Fallen). The movie has Freeman playing vice president of the United States (obviously).
Funnily enough, Freeman as a GPS character, isn’t really helpful in assisting with guidance tasks and to add to that, GPS Morgan Freeman sounds a little bit rude and stereotypical, don’t you think?
If you feel that Freeman’s vocals may be a little bit too soothing for your drive, there’s also the choice of Liam Neeson as your guiding voice, from the looks of it. However, just hang on tight while you’re navigating to the supermarket – it may get a little rough, especially if he’s out to “find someone.”
