Payments for vehicle inspections can now be made with Touch ’n Go cards at selected Puspakom branches in Peninsular Malaysia. PLUSTrack cards and Fleet Pass cards from Touch ’n Go used by corporate bodies and companies are also accepted at these branches as well.
It serves as an alternative mode of payment, while supplementing cash transactions. According to Puspakom CEO Mohammed Shukor Ismail, the cashless transactions will speed up the payment process as there will be no need to prepare cash or coins, with the implementation of the GST.
“The use of Touch ’n go cards have been introduced at 11 selected branches in the Klang Valley, Negeri Sembilan, Perak and Melaka and have since received an encouraging response from customers. The Puspakom inspection centre in Shah Alam was the first branch to introduce the Touch ’n Go payment service in 2014,” Shukor notes.
Shukor adds that the implementation is one of the initiatives taken by Puspakom to increase the quality of service amongst customers. The CEO also says that there are plans to extend this service to other Puspakom branches in stages.
