Daily night road closure at Jalan Sg Buloh flyover, slip road to Jalan Kuala Selangor for MRT works

mrt sg buloh closure

MMC Gamuda KVMRT has announced a “long term closure” at the Jalan Sungai Buloh flyover and slip road to Jalan Kuala Selangor (Kepong-bound). The closure starts tonight (March 8) and will be in place from 11pm to 5am nightly for 45 days till April 17. The closure is to facilitate the pedestrian steel bridge launching and architecture works at the Sungai Buloh MRT station.

During the closure, motorists from Jalan Hospital heading towards Kepong will be diverted to cross the flyover to enter Jalan Kuala Selangor (Kuala Selangor-bound). One can make a U-turn at The Store, Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh to head towards Kepong (green in the map).

Motorists from Jalan Sungai Buloh heading towards Kepong will be diverted to take the slip road going to Jalan Kuala Selangor (Kuala Selangor-bound), before one can make a U-turn at The Store to head to Kepong. It’s the same route as the above, marked blue in the map.

Take note and drive safe.

What about those from Jalan Hospital wanting to turn into Jalan Sg Buloh heading to Subang…? Are they allowed to…? If they do, does that means those heading to Kepong will be forced to U-turn at Jalan Welfare, go back to the closed junction and then take the opposite direction to Kuala Selangor and make another U-turn at The Store – all because Jalan Hospital to Kepong and Jalan Sg Buloh shares the same slip road… And that’s a double diversion not to mention one helluva big-ass loop…!

Frankly I had little faith in bloody Gamuda fellas diverting traffic because the last time they did the opposite diversion, they neglected to inform that the slip road from Jalan Sg Buloh to Kuala Selangor was closed – unannounced – forcing me to enter Sg Buloh toll and exit at HSB toll because they caused a jam backed up to Sri Damansara past midnight.
