While we refer to the Audi Q2 as a compact SUV, the company prefers to keep things open with its new UK advertisement spot. Whether you want to label it as a SUV, allroad, baby SUV, small crossover or just a hatchback that’s been pumped up a little, Audi is letting you define its latest creation.
The Q2 is referred to as “a new breed of Audi,” and the 58-second spot showcases the versatility of the vehicle from a road cruiser to an off-road prowler. This case of multiple personalities, we think, is Ingolstadt’s primary selling point for the new Q2.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, the Q2 is positioned below the Q3. The architecture allows for both front-wheel and quattro all-wheel drive powertrains (petrol and diesel engines) to be fitted, with the latter being helpful when the going gets rough.
While the Q2’s looks does suggest it will compete against the other compact SUVs from Audi’s rivals – Mercedes-Benz GLA and BMW X1 – the Q2 is actually smaller compared to both, being 4,191 mm long, 1,794 mm wide and 1,508 mm tall, with a wheelbase that is 2,595 mm long.
Unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, the Q2 gets many of Audi’s latest technologies and features. The company’s MMI infotainment system is present, with Audi’s Virtual Cockpit and a head-up display system available as options. Safety kit included as standard here includes Audi’s pre sense front autonomous braking system.

Polo Crossover!!?!!?
Don’t get me wrong, I like the rugged design, It’s handsome but It does remind people of the VW Polo and for a premium brand like Audi, they could’ve done better for It to look different then It’s cousin.
