Surprisingly, bus tickets for the ‘balik kampung’ journey out of Klang Valley for Hari Raya Aidilfitri are still available, with the celebration just a week away. According to Bernama, tickets for July 1-5 are still on sale at the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS).
TBS operation senior manager Faizal Redza Redzuan said of the 80,000 tickets made available for the five-day travel period, only 70% have been sold.
“We still have about 30% of bus tickets to both northern and southern destinations, while tickets to destinations in Pahang and Terengganu are also available, but only about 10%. Only tickets to Kelantan are sold out, including for additional buses,” he told the national news agency.
Faizal Redza said among the destinations with available tickets were Kuantan, Muadzam Shah, Kuala Terengganu and Kemaman. However, he advised city folks not to wait until the last minute to purchase the tickets.
