The 2016 Yamaha Ego Avantiz scooter was launched in Malaysia today at a price of RM5,700, pending government approval. Held in conjunction with Yamaha’s “Automatic World Motorshow” in Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur, the 2016 Yamaha Ego Avantiz is designed to provide “an exciting and fun ride” for the rider.
Powered by a 125 cc SOHC air-cooled engine, the Avantiz scooter provides a claimed 9.3 hp at 8,000 rpm and 9.6 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Power gets to the rear wheel via a wet multi-plate clutch and automatic gearbox driving a V-belt.
Weighing in at 96 kg, the Ego Avantiz stands 773 mm tall at the seat, ideal for any rider, and suitable for daily commuting and urban transport duties. The fuel tank holds 4.2-litres of fuel, and the underseat storage volume is 14-litres, enough to hold an open-face helmet. A new parking lock system is also incorporated into the hand brake.
A single hydraulic disc-brake handles stopping duties up front, while a drum brake brings up the rear. Suspension is with a telescopic fork and a monoshock single absorber at the back, and the Avantiz rolls on 14-inch wheels. Main competitor to the Yamaha Ego Avantiz is the Suzuki Address 115 at RM5,200.
The 2016 Yamaha Ego Avantiz comes in three colours – red, blue and black, with LED lighting in front. Priced at RM5,700, including GST, but excluding road tax, insurance and number plates, the Ego Avantiz is expected to hit Yamaha dealer showrooms by August, 2016.

In Malaysia, most people got no choice but to use Moto due to lack of money. This is because, the country cannot afford to pay the rakyat well as 90% of the wealth is distributed to only UMNO big shots and cronies.
That is why many of us risk riding a motor. All of us moto owners wish we can buy a sedan
i believe most of us prefer if goverment stop building highways and more building public transport system such as mrt. developed country most of the rich people also using public transportation.
Dont talk rubbish. I bought a proton saga with a monthly installment of RM 350. It was a sedan.
Youre on the wrong website to bash at politics.
You can only support a crony company. No wonder
So if ride this, is not called a motorist but an egoist?
