To acknowledge its accomplishments in Formula E and recent model introductions over the past few months, DS Automobiles has decided to introduce the DS Performance Line trim level to its entire line-up of vehicles, including the DS 3, DS 3 Cabrio, DS 4 and DS 5.
The Performance Line models are recognised by their two-tone black with a specific palette of body colours. A set of gloss black alloy wheels featuring the DS logo set against a Carmine Red background on the centre caps are also another standout cue.
Additionally, items such as the door mirrors and rear spoiler are painted in the signature colours of the Performance Line (Carmine Red, White and Gold). You’ll also get “DS Performance Line” badges on the front doors and bonnet to compliment the rest of the exterior.
Moving into the cabin, the cars get new upholstery –leather (grained or Nappa) and Dinamica fabric – with coloured stitching on the seats, door panels, gear lever and steering wheel. Details include “DS Performance Line” embroidery on the front seats, metallic detailing, as well as chrome inserts on the steering wheel and door sills.
LED lighting is also standard on all Performance Line models to provide illumination to the interior, and you’ll also get the latest DS infotainment system, featuring a 7-inch touchscreen. The unit comes with satellite navigation, along with MirrorLink and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
Powertrain options available to the Performance include a range of PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines, paired with either a six-speed manual or EAT6 automatic gearbox. The new trim level will go on sale in the United Kingdom beginning October this year.

I think our failure Proton is better than this. What does DS stand for? Dolop Stupid?
it’s named “performance trim”, so it’s just trim change…. No engine performance tweak at all…. Rmber, TRD? MODULO? AUTECH? All are trim, wheels, seat, exhaust, interior chrome or maybe cubic carbon fibre design, badge and etc…
If there is 3rd and 4th door..
TAK NAK!!!
The car pictured is the DS3 though, and that is very similar inside to the Citroen C3. The placement and design of everything is pretty much identical. You can easily see how underneath the DS3 there is a C3.
The DS4 is also very close to the C4, just that the DS4 pushes quality a bit further (nothing at all wrong with the C4, it still easily beats the Japs in the same segment) and is less practical.
The DS5 is pretty special though, I give you that. Shame about the conventional technology underpinning it all… if that car were to ride as beautifully as old Citroens did…
