The DS3 Performance variants are being introduced in Europe (a new version of DS3 Racing), as seen in a configurator released on its website. In essence, the model shares similarities to the facelifted Peugeot 208 GTi – in terms of its powertrain.
Beneath the hood of the DS3 Performance variant sits a turbocharged 1.6 litre THP petrol mill that produces a total of 208 PS and 300 Nm of torque. Said engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with shorter ratios, while a Torsen limited-slip differential also features.
Furthermore, the Performance variants come with a wider track for the front and rear along with a lowered suspension (15 mm), larger disc brakes and new set of calipers. Elsewhere, it gets dual exhaust tips and larger sills. Meanwhile, optional exterior items include a DS Performance exterior graphics kit.
Inside, a pair of sports seats wrapped in Alcantara “Performance” upholstery can be found. Optional items for the interior include a new seven-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink for Android users.
The “Performance” badge can be had with the Cabrio and the hatchback version of the DS3, in Europe. Prices start at 27,950 euros (RM128,420) for the DS3 Performance in hatchback form, while the Cabrio Performance will cost 30,450 euros (RM140k). Matte black & gold trim option looks sick! But I still prefer the crazy decals & orange bits on the DS3 racing tho.
quite surprised that Clarkson & friends actually like this DS3
You should not be surprised- they know about cars better than you.
