Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially opened Hap Seng Kuching Autohaus, the first one-stop centre of its kind in East Malaysia. The RM53 million facility in Kuching, Sarawak boasts 18,383 sq m of built-up space and is a full-fledged 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre serving both Mercedes-Benz passenger cars and Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles clientele.

The autohaus is staffed by 40 personnel across the sales, technical services and spare parts disciplines. Its service centre has the capacity to service up to 510 vehicles a month via its 16 work bays, and has its own spray booth. The facility also includes an integrated, full-length work pit to cater for Mercedes-Benz and FUSO commercial vehicles.

Hap Seng Star currently has eight passenger car dealerships, and Hap Seng Commercial Vehicle has seven outlets nationwide,” said Harald Behrend, CEO of Hap Seng Star and group COO of Hap Seng Consolidated.

Hap Seng Kuching Autohaus joins Miri and Kota Kinabalu in the roster of East Malaysia outlets for a total of three. There are 11 Mercedes Autohaus locations in Peninsular Malaysia, including Bukit Tinggi, Balakong, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ipoh, Kinrara, Klang, Ipoh, and Kuantan.
