Puspakom closed for four days over Raya holidays

Those who plan to use Puspakom services soon, take note. All Puspakom inspection centres nationwide will be closed for four days for the Hari Raya holidays.

Raya is expected to be celebrated this Sunday, June 25, and Puspakom centres will be closed from June 24 to 27 (Saturday to Tuesday). In Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Johor, centres will be closed from June 23 to 26 (Friday to Monday) due to the different work week. Centres will reopen on June 28 (Wednesday), or June 27 (Tuesday) for the four above-mentioned states.

Puspakom is advising customers to make early plans in light of the holiday closure. The organisation extended operating hours last Saturday to fulfil higher demand, with Raya just around the corner. Call Puspakom at 1800-88-6927 for more info.

  • In any PUSPAKOM monopolistic operation, clients are left with no choice in terms of prices to pay, operating hours, time it takes to get a job done, not to mention having to head to just a single centre that serves a whole city and its outlaying areas. Rakyat dibebankan…

    • Now why does it sound like any authorised servis center?

You’re welcome to propose to the Government to establish another vehicle inspection company and compete. Open more centres and compete with the inspection fees “gazetted” by the Government. Work out how best you can recover to breakeven, not only the setup cost, compliance and concession fee to be paid to the Government as well. And bare in mind that mandatory inspections are only applicable to commercial, public vehicles and for hire purchase inspection for used cars at the moment. Unless you’re eyeing to get private cehicle inspection, that’s fair. If you want to say something, please be fair, you must look at the facts and stats first. Thanks.
