AmGeneral Insurance launches Auto365 auto coverage

Insurance provider AmGeneral Insurance has announced its latest product, Auto365 Comprehensive Premier, a comprehensive coverage package introduced following the liberalisation of the motor insurance sector which took place in July this year. Auto365 provides the widest coverage of any motor insurance product in the market, claims AmGeneral Insurance.

Auto365 Comprehensive Premier includes additional coverage for accidental damage, damages caused by attempted theft, falling objects or by additional drivers, provision for 200 km towing assistance, and compassionate allowance for loss of vehicle up to 5% of the vehicle’s insured sum or RM5,000 per incident, whichever is lower.

The product also offers a three-year warranty for workmanship conducted by approved workshops, plus an optional partial cover for convulsions of nature (otherwise commonly known as “acts of God”, or special perils coverage) for losses or damage up to 20% of the sum insured due to natural disasters.

“We are now perfectly positioned to deliver the best service and value to our customers via our network of 7,000 agents and partners nationwide. Auto365 Comprehensive Premier will spearhead the next phase of our liberalised motor insurance strategy,” said chief executive officer of AmGeneral Insurance Derek Roberts.

Following the market liberalisation trend on pricing, premiums for Auto365 Comprehensive Premier will be assessed on the individual customer’s risk profile, instead of a more generic ‘one-size-fits-all’ template practiced in the past.
