After launching the M3 and M4 Competition M Heat Edition, BMW Japan is offering yet another aesthetic upgrade pack for the regular F30 3 Series range. Called the M Sport Edition Shadow, it was previously sold as a special edition offering, but now it’s a permanent addition to the compact executive model.
This includes all 3 Series variants sold in the Land of the Rising Sun, from the 318i, which is priced at ¥5,330,000 (RM192k) to the range-topping 330e iPerformance that costs ¥6,800,000 (RM245k). Firstly, the kit comes with a blacked-out kidney grille, smoked headlamps and taillights, 19-inch M Sport wheels and a special Sunset Orange paint colour.
The cabin gets black leather upholstery with contrast blue stitching and steel pedals as standard. As per the usual M Sport treatment, the rooflining gets an anthracite finish instead of the off-white material found in Sport and Luxury trims. Otherwise, the rest remains unchanged.
In Japan, the F30 is available in sedan and estate (Touring) body styles, and the M Sport Edition Shadow option applies to both.
In Malaysia, the current line-up consists of the 318i Luxury, 330e Sport and 330e M Sport. For a detailed look at each of its specification and equipment list, head over to CarBase.my. Also, find out what we think of the 330e Sport in our full review, and see for yourself how it stacks against the Mercedes-Benz C 350 e and Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TSI Highline in the video below.
