Puspakom says that consumers can now make online bookings and payments for vehicle inspection services via its MyPuspakom system, which was introduced in August last year and now has more than 86,000 registered users, according to the company.
Through the system, appointments for all Puspakom inpection centres across the country as well as payments can be made online through the service provider’s website or via the MyPuspakom mobile app. Prior to this, appointments could only be made via email and through the phone to the Puspakom call centre.
With this, a customer is not only able to view his/her booking and vehicle information, but also be able to retrieve booking records from their MyPuspakom account. The status of every inspection activity, from making an appointment to completion of an inspection, will be emailed to users in real time.
The company said the service will be particularly useful to fleet operators and owners or any organisations which have many commercial vehicles that need to undertake inspection at Puspakom.
According to Puspakom CEO Mohammed Shukor Ismail said, the system was developed with the aim to help customers manage their time better by making the inspection booking and process not only easier and faster, but also more efficient and transparent.
“It also helps to reduce congestion at certain inspection centres, especially during peak hours and pre- or post-festive seasons. A customer needs to be present 20 minutes before the appointment time, and we are committed to complete the inspection within an hour,” he said.

what email? what phonecall?
in penang, during phonecall they asked me to come directly to make app. then when i came, the ‘police bantuan’ stationed at pondok guard handled all the appointment. he asked me ” geran mana geran?” no geran no app. they didnt mention about geran during phonecall. so i had to comeback the day after with geran just to make an app thats is scheduled 2weeks later. yeah u come today. 2weeks later u get your app, thats the earliest

No such thing. Normally have to go at 5am and wait just for inspection at 3pm.
I booked an appointment to have my car inspected not too long ago. Still ended up waiting for like 2 hours before getting the car inspected. If anything, it seems that the booking system is only useful for PUSPAKOM (so that they have a rough idea on how many people are coming in a given day), not the customers. If I am given a 11:00am slot after placing my booking, I expect my car to roll into the inspection bay latest by 11:15am, not 1:00pm.
