Cupra A-SUVe interior teased, to debut at Frankfurt

SEAT’s new sub-brand Cupra has released a teaser photo of its forthcoming Cupra A-SUVe concept, revealing the crossover’s cockpit ahead of its scheduled debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show next month.

The picture above screams sportiness, with extensive use of carbon-fibre on the door panels, side mirror caps and dashboard inserts. There’s a sleek three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with back-lit Cupra badge, drive mode and ignition buttons, as well as a fully digital instrument cluster with a large power meter and in the middle and G-meter on the left.

The instrument panel also shows vital driving details, such as battery charge levels and interestingly, live brake temperature reading. Elsewhere, it gets conventional stalks for exterior lighting and wiper functions.

Design-wise, Cupra says the cockpit’s overall theme is modelled after the car’s exterior lines, with emphasis on balance between performance and practicality. Curiously, the concept is also able to “switch its personality to meet the needs of whoever is cocooned inside.”

Elsewhere, the performance crossover will reportedly ride on Volkswagen’s MEB platform. So far, no details on performance have been provided as yet, but expect some powerful electric motors to be used. Are you excited yet? Well, watch this space, because Cupra will announce a full digital unveil on September 2, before going on display at Frankfurt.

The logo is like a mash between X-men and Spiderman made up to look like Glicoman.
