Volkswagen Amarok Black Edition 3.0 TDI – fr RM185k

Volkswagen has launched two special edition models of the Amarok in the UK, the Amarok Black Edition and Amarok Aventura Black Edition. Both models are powered by the range-topping 3.0 litre TDI V6 engine, available in either 204 PS or 258 PS tunes. Prices start from £35,790 (RM185k) for the base model to £41,950 (RM211k) for the Amarok Adventura Black Edition.

Now, both models are based on the top Highline trim and come standard with blacked-out items such as the 20-inch Talca alloys, styling bar, rear bumpers, sidebars, fog light frames, polish trim strip on the grille, black interior headliner, gloss black decor on the dash, as well as Lights and Vision package which includes Discover Media Navigation system with off-road info display.

Besides that, the most expensive model gets Nappa leather interior, Ergo Comfort front seats with electric adjustment, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, paddle shifters, power-folding side mirrors, front fog lamps with cornering function, front underbody guard, underbody cladding trim and load compartment protective coating.

Other than that, it’s pretty much the standard Amarok. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, as well as features such as front and rear parking sensors, a big load bay capacity, Trailer Stabilisation, and Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. Those wanting a more menacing look can opt for the £2,420 (RM12.5k) matte black paint colour, whereas the Mountain Top roll covers are available for £1,665 (RM8.6k) installed. Is this gangster enough for your liking?
