The road transport department (JPJ) has issued another list of product recalls from a couple of automotive brands in Malaysia, and the latest notice involves two vehicle models from Perodua as well as from motorcycle brand Honda.
The following are the make and model of affected vehicles, as published by the JPJ:
The department said the recall involving the second-generation Alza as well as for the Aruz has been made to rectify the height of the light throw from the headlamps, which do not comply with specifications.
As for the CB350RS, which was launched in Malaysia in June, the recall is being issued for faulty speed sensora, which may cause incorrect speedometer readings as well as incorrect operation of the ABS and traction control. A similar recall notice was issued over this matter in India back in September.
The department added that all vehicle owners affected by the recalls will be contacted by the manufacturers for checks and rectification to be carried out, at no cost to owners.

Thank goodness finally gets those blinding headlamp fixed. We had been cursing these stupid designed high position led headlamps shining too brightly towards us onto our eye level or behind us directly onto rear view mirror and side mirrors
Wonder how perodua going to adjust lower the main headlight as it’s led not bulb type, change the whole lamp? or lower the front absorber?
All perodua should be recalled to fix the third brake light. So many of them don’t have a functional third brake light now.
How were the cars released in the first place?
Because every new car is taken to puspakom for test, then only released.
Why did puspakom release the cars and bikes if it did not meet specs.
Yes, nowadays…most of the SUVs and 4X4s have blinding lights cauuing much glare..really irritating!!
Before that JPJ said all the NEW Perodua models are NOT affected by the Toyota/Daihatsu scandal and are safe to drive, now they are recalling 3657 of their NEW Alza and Aruz. At this point, I wonder JPJ got really check or inspect the NEW Perodua models….. Or not. Or are they just getting paid by UMW to not talk about the safety issues. I honestly don’t know the TRUTH. Those people….especially the Top executives and Board of Directors at UMW….who knew about the safety issues of the NEW Perodua models are NOT being transparent.
