At today’s launch of the Zeekr X and 009, it was revealed that the next model coming our way will be the 7X in 2025. Officially launched in China in September this year, the 7X is the brand’s first midsize electric SUV that is built on the PMA2+ platform with an 800V electrical architecture, which is also used for the 007 sedan. Pricing for the 7X ranges from 229,900 to 269,900 yuan (about RM140k to RM164k) in China.
The upcoming five-seat SUV 4,825 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, 1,666 mm tall and has wheelbase of 2,925 mm. For context, the 7X occupies a larger footprint than the Tesla Model Y and is comparable in size to a Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV.
In terms of powertrains, the 7X in China is offered with either a 75-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) ‘Golden Brick’ or 100-kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) ‘Qilin’ battery. Both batteries are paired with a rear-mounted electric motor rated at 421 PS (416 hp or 310 kW) and 440 Nm of torque.
With the LFP battery, the range is 605 km following China’s generous CLTC standard, while the NMC option offers 780 km. Another configuration gets the NMC battery but adds a front electric motor for all-wheel drive, a total system output of 646 PS (637 hp or 475 kW) and 710 Nm as well as 705 km of range. Air suspension is also standard for the AWD variant and available as an option for the rest.
The 7X supports 5.5C charging – the ‘C’ indicates how many times a battery can be charged in one hour – and can get from a 10-80% state of charge (SoC) in 10.5 minutes via DC fast charging. This is for the LFP-equipped model, while the NMC-equipped options require 15 minutes, indicating they support 4C charging instead. The 7X also has external power supplies that can deliver up to 60 kW DC or 3.3 kW AC.
In terms of equipment, the 7X is offered with the 007’s “smart light curtain,” which is essentially a 93-inch display that sits between the matrix LED headlamps and spans the front of the car that can show various graphics or notices to the surroundings.
Inside, you’ll find a 13.02-inch digital instrument cluster and 16-inch touchscreen with a mini-LED display at 3.5K resolution – infotainment is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. Other features are powered front seats with heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions, which are joined by three-zone climate control with B-pillar vents, a CN95 air filter, a smart fragrance system and a 21-speaker sound system.
Taking a page out of the 009, the 7X comes with a “rear electric sofa” option that transforms the back section of the cabin into a lounge with seats that offer 134 degrees of backrest angle adjustment, a foot rest, a dedicated 6-inch touchscreen control panel as well as the heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions. These are accompanied by a 13-inch OLED display with 2K resolution, powered tray tables, a refrigerator and powered sunshades.
No shortage of advance driver assistance and safety systems either, as the 7X is available with full-speed adaptive cruise control, active lane change assist, automatic parking assist, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and assist, blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition and cross traffic alert.
With the X and 009 officially launched here, we can now look forward to the 7X’s arrival, which, as stated at today’s event, will take place sometime in 2025. Interested?

Zeekr is a major brand and sub brand under Geely group. realistically, it is less risky when the industry consolidate later on. impressive specification but still no on the road drive review… we just had hafriz on EX30 which is very convincing review…
Welcome more Chinese premium brands with more models such as from Denza , Link&co, besides Zeekr to offer premium luxury EV at much reasonable price than the European
This is an intriguing model, and we are eager to introduce it to the Malaysian market ASAP. The anticipated pricing is approximately 200k +/- myr across all grades.
However, with the Zeekr X, the transition from LHD to RHD revealed a significant concern. While overall performance remained consistent, numerous valuable features were notably omitted. This is a critical issue that Zeekr must address with great care.
