Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) recently announced the appointment of Cycle & Carriage (C&C) as its latest authorised dealer partner. KSM is Kia Corporation’s arm in Malaysia, and it’s in charge of the brand’s sales, aftersales, training and all wholesale and retail operations in our market. We are proud to welcome the brand and look forward to leveraging Cycle & Carriage’s automotive expertise and customer-focused sales, aftersales and service excellence to expand the brand’s market reach and deliver exceptional ownership journeys to customers in Malaysia,” said Adrian Short, C&C Malaysia CEO.
The collaboration between KSM and C&C unites two major forces within the Malaysian automotive landscape, offering Kia customers enhanced sales touchpoints, improved aftersales support, and elevated ownership experiences in line with Kia’s latest global standards, the carmaker said in a statement.

Overpriced junk. Once you go EV or even EV like Hybrids like the BYD or Zeekr, you never go back to garbage ICE vehicles let alone overpriced turds like these Korean brands arrogantly assuming Malaysia is a good dumping ground for their unsold trash cans on wheels.
I don’t see the opportunity of Kia in Malaysia when the traditional giant like Honda is suffering and other like Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki etc were suffering loss of sales. Although Toyota is maintaining but they are putting ultra high effort to maintain their position. And yet Kia models are in “premium” price tag. And now many Chinese brands coming in offering greater packages at lower price tag. Sorry to say I see no chance for Kia and Hyundai in Malaysia even though I was a Kia owner before.
Toyota could bring in CKD for car like BZ3, BZ3X SUV,
not the BZ4X nor the Urban Cruiser from India. They are not performing now.
Kia could bring in EV3 CKD EV,
In South Korea, the Kia EV3 base price starts at 42.1 to (RM110k) to 46.7 million KRW (RM123k) for higher trims.
After government and local EV incentives, the effective starting price drops to approximately 37 million KRW to 42 million KRW (approx. RM97,500 to RM110,600)
Ev9 is one of the best ev looking out there but because of car connect is not available. Its a no especially the troublesome during charging.
C&C is the right partner for Kia with their experience handling the brand in Singapore.
I think kia and hyundai should restart back here with ev at reasonable price(CKD)..People if they choose ICE car they are either full german, conservative japanese(reliability/resale),value for money chinese car..Korean cars doesnt fit in any of this 3niche that well(not in a standout way)..Spare part is as expensive as german or more since no oem spare part other than mobis..It drive almost as good as german but not in ‘branding’..Reliability part probably closer to japanese but not there yet..It use to be king in value for money but not anymore..
Kia is dead with their ancient ice car nowadays. Although the price point is not that attractive but when compare to what’s available in the market with the onslaught of china models, Kia like honda and toyota is looking like a dejected boys with a melted ice cream.
Malaysia is a very price-sensitive market. They can’t just keep changing dealers but not change the pricing strategy — it’s dumb.
All the Naza kids were adopted by Bermaz since 2021. Now they’ve “divorced” and Cycle & Carriage is the new dad!
