Pick the XWD if all-wheel drive is a requirement: its 2.0-litre petrol engine makes 241 hp and sends it through a wet dual-clutch automatic. The PHEV is front-wheel drive and uses a single-ratio automatic, so it is not the substitute for an AWD requirement.
Verdict
The T2’s appeal is clear: it leans into the square-jawed SUV look rather than blending into the usual crossover mould.
