Overview
Perodua’s QV-E is a five-seat B-segment electric SUV and the brand’s first EV, launched in 2025. It suits buyers seeking a compact EV with a 52.5 kWh battery, 370 km range and front-wheel drive. Entry is RM69,999 through the FWD Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) version.
QV-E in 2026 — what's new
The 2025-generation QV-E continues into 2026 with a lower-price relaunch and an outright-battery-purchase route alongside BAAS. The range remains two FWD versions with the same 52.5 kWh battery, 370 km range, 201 hp and five seats. East Malaysia deliveries begin in July 2026, where the QV-E costs RM3,000 more than in Peninsular Malaysia. Parts and labour prices fall by an average of 10% from June 2026.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should start with the RM69,999 FWD (BAAS), because it retains the same 52.5 kWh battery, 370 km range, 201 hp, front-wheel drive, single-ratio automatic transmission and five-seat cabin as the other version. Choose the RM93,999 FWD (with battery) only if outright battery ownership matters more than the RM24,000 saving. On paper, the gap does not buy extra performance or range; check the equipment list before signing.

Verdict
The QV-E is easier to consider after its 2026 lower-price relaunch and the addition of outright battery ownership. It has 201 hp and front-wheel drive. The range claim is 370 km, while five-year maintenance costs RM1,400. The battery-ownership version is cheaper than the entry Seres 3, BYD Atto 2 and Proton eMas 7, but BAAS buyers need to examine the battery terms carefully.
