X50 in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the X50 range carries on from the 2025 facelift in Executive, Premium and Flagship forms. The concrete showroom change is Quartz Black becoming a standard colour option after the limited 200-unit Black Edition, which was based on Flagship trim. Proton has also shown an X50 Sport Edition at KLIMS 2026 with a bodykit and red highlights, but it is not part of the core range.

The X50 is not the cheapest B-segment SUV: the Perodua Ativa starts at RM62,500 and the Chery Tiggo Cross at RM88,800. What it has is a heavily reworked 2025 facelift, with new head- and taillights, a big lower grille, significant sheetmetal changes and 178 hp across the range. The redesign has substance, but buyers chasing the lowest monthly payment have cheaper choices.
