It’s a brand and fresh new year now, and I hope that all of you have had a very good start. A lot of people I know are still in holiday moods, but things should expect to pick up very soon. With the Alza just launched we probably won’t see anything major from Perodua this year, but Proton should have interesting stuff in store – we could be looking at a Persona facelift launch this year.
For those who are curious, the following are the top 20 most trafficked pages on this blog from the 1st of January 2009 to the 31st of December 2009. Alza-related pages are tops naturally, as the plateau of Exora traffic which launched earlier in the year had actually extended from mid-2008 onwards.
- Perodua Alza category index page
- Proton Exora category index page
- New Perodua MPV coming in September 2009
- Proton Satria Neo CPS – details and specifications
- 2009 Honda City – first drive impressions review
- New Perodua MPV coming in September 2009
- Proton Exora – Malaysia’s first MPV from RM69,998
- New Honda City category index page
- Proton Exora Prototype Test Drive Experience
- Perodua Alza launch story
- Toyota Passo Sette launch story
- Perodua MPV – initial details revealed
- 2009 Honda City launch story
- Proton Exora name announcement
- Toyota Passo Sette – full detail
- Perodua Alza Advanced Version
- Proton Exora BCM details
- Kia Forte Malaysian launch story
- Proton Exora Prime Concept
- Proton Saga category index page
Another interesting metric to look at is what people are looking for when they hit this site from the search engines.
This month we’ll bring you live coverage from the North American International Auto Show in Detroit for the first time – our previous live coverages have only been for the Tokyo Motorshow which only happens once every two years. Stay tuned for some interesting updates from Detroit – from what I heard there are some interesting announcements from the Detroit player that’s doing the best so far – Ford.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.

Good luck Paul. Thumbs up!
yep..thats right..
the exora perhaps because of the bcm, basic line model, comparison among other mpv"s and the concept. especially the PRIME and the PRESTIGE….
kia forte is the winner besides local car.. aha

Almost all on the search list are Proton and Perodua cars.
Congratulation for the superb blog that has done all malaysian proud. I am a staunch follower for the blog for years. I learn a lot about cars from it. I bought a kia forte after reading your news report of its launch. It's a nice car and I am 100 % satisfied for the time being. I'm still waiting for your review on the car.

Hi Paul,
Are you considering to revamp or give a fresh look to your website? If yes, I would like to suggest, you make a competition, where anyone can submit mock page for new Paultan.org site. The winner can get a free advertising on your front page. I believe, there are many talented freelancer here.
Congratulations and well done! I always check this blog for reports on cars that I wish to buy or interested in. Thank you!!

Indeed many of us refer to your site's review on each model before making any decision to make a purchase….Thank you Paul…we owe you. Good job..may this year be better and more improvement coming to paultan.org We will always be with you!!
paultan.org is one of my favorites/bookmark
Well done Paul! keep up the good job ;)
follower since 2007. wooow. :)
good job u provide us with a lot of motoring news….
Minus local cars i.e. Proton and Perodua models, only:
Honda City 2009, Toyota Passo Sette (not launched here), Kia Forte, Peugeot 308, Toyota Vios and Mazda 3 are mentioned above (pages with the most traffic & most landing from search engines).
Japanese car – Honda City, Toyota Passo Sette, Toyota Vios & Mazda 3
Korean car – Kia Forte
European car – Peugeot 308
American car – none
China car – none
Malaysian do love their Japanese cars.
I'm initially surprised to see Toyota Passo Sette in the list as it is not even launched here but as Myvi 'brother', it will surely attract great amount of attention in M'sia. The others that were a surprise are Peugeot 308 and Mazda 3.
Its awesome that the Kia Forte make it as well, as it is a very late comers in 2009.
Paul, keep up the good work.
Many have requested for a Kia Forte review. We managed to secure a test unit scheduled for the end of this month, so stay tuned!
I am a active follower of this SUPERB site 2 years ago……Since then,i have
stop subscribe monthly car magazine-AUTOCAR ASEAN :)
Thanks a lot PAUL and Danny !!!!
Folks, I've throughly enjoyed the bashings and comebacks during the year. Most are very witty, some technical and well read. Also enjoyed silly remarks that are usually later corrected by those well informed. Ah, the 'one liners' group, we love youall hehe.
Let's repeat this fandango again in 2010, who knows, maybe we can make a difference!
This blog is the defacto place where Proton, Perodua and Government bashers gather to 'taruk' each other silly.
Just kidding. It is a good source of info on the local and regional car scene.
Keep the updates coming Paul!
This is the only manual bookmark on my phone. Good job team PaulTan.
dear ntermilan
perodua Alza = Toyota passo sette stripped down.
that's why passo sette got lots of hits.
.
waiting for mazda 2 and the forte review
Great job Paul & Danny…. Think I can say fair enough the review by both of you & lots of info we can gain every time we log in. Even much enjoying to see the commentar bashing others like see JC do the review in TG. Hope this blog can support more info in future even all automotif players can read PaulTan.org as they place to gain info on upcoming model….
Zasss………..
Long Live Paultan!!!! Hidup Paultan!!
just remember to give credit to the actual writer now that we have Paul & Danny. Pity Danny, people still Paul write his story.
Good job for 2009.

Two big THUMBS up for Paul Tan and his team who tirelessly maintain this blog site! I never participated in any auto forums or even read any car reviews until i discovered his http://paultan.org and it was also his reviews which help me chose the current car that I drive. Cheers to you again, Paul! Keep it up and may the new year bring you loads of happiness, good health and excess funds to maybe change to the car of your dreams.. ok wrong one..change to a realistic car of your dreams..cheers :)
Paul since you like cars so much, do you also happen to like watches? I believe that watches are in some ways associated to cars in which both objects appeal to the emotions of the owner and that both involve a certain high level of engineering and both encase "engines" behind the appearance. But the only fact that work in opposite directions between a watch and a car is that a watch can appreciate while a car cannot but depreciate. Do readers agree? I mean if we run a survey for Paul to compile, i think it will be interesting. Sorry Paul to trouble you for such trivia. I am very sure that more than 50% readers wear watch which cost at least RM5k and above.

Mr. PaulTan & the rest of your team,
I have been following your website for couple of years.
Excellent material and coverage!
Don't just limit our discussion on Motoring industry, it would be great if you manage to cover your insight on Electronics, Engineering, Aerospace, Military etc. (minus the politics, let the readers comments on politics, haha).
You've maintained a good transparency control over the comments too.
Regardless whether it is pros and cons. Your website it the true 1Malaysia concept! (minus the politicians).
Keep up the good work! May 2010 is a good year for all of us!
May God bless Malaysia!
Regards,
SY0H
