Team Need for Speed (formed by the good folks at Electronic Arts, maker of the Need for Speed game series), has a new car for the Time Attack series in the US – a 1100 hp AWD Scion tC! The race car will feature an all-wheel drive setup and has been custom built by Chris Rado. The reason it looks like a tractor is because the large front and rear wings are there to create as much downforce as possible.
Scion backed Rado, who has his own World Racing team, also built a 899 hp tC for Modified magazine earlier this year. A professional racer by trade, Rado is approaching 60 career wins as a US based pro race car driver. He currently takes part in NHRA, NSCRA, Pacific Street Car Association and Full Throttle.
More information about the powertrain has yet to be provided, but for now enjoy the picture gallery after the jump.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
I smell rubber burn! Overwhelmed with power!
The front wing is too big…bigger wing means bigger drag…its that necessary to be that big?
errr.. 1100hp dude.. u need that kind of grip
i think its to create i bigger down force…if not…it might take off!!!!
Oh~! Front Wing is the aerodynamic design to increase the down force for this 1100hp beast…..
since the car was not originally a supercar with aerodynamics..so they need the extra spoiler.
this is nice…=)
looks like one of those F1 plane
wah front also need spoiler meh
Yep…if you are climbing Pikes Peak…or whatever they call it now…
Kinda remind me of Suzuki Escudo in GT PS1
reminds me of escudo pikes peaks version
Dont 4get Pikes Peaks Celica…;) Both of them suzu toyota are really kicks butt..;)
this not a real car yet right? but who cares, just tell me where to download this in to my SHIFT! :)
the backlights on this are soo much better than the original… take away the spoilers and the vinyl and that’s how the production scion tC should look like :)
maybe u are fooled by the wide body kits…
tractor transformer, lol~
loves the speed … keep it up guys …
haiyo..
front wings looks like they emulate RedBull’s Flexible wings…LOL!! and please do not lower than 85mm for front wings…or you’re bending the law…haha
loves the speed … awesome modifications, keep it up guys …
can they really “drive” this car? man it goes spinning madly~!
How come the Japs never do something like this for their Tsukuba time attack? Or is it totally unnecessary for a track like Tsukuba?
i bet this car is not that agile in a technical circuit.. maybe this one is for an oval track time attack. wonder how it corners. will easily spin off. because the spoilers are useless when the car slow down for corner.
in tsukuba, for sure evo or impreza will beat this monster in the twisty section of the track la..
wow! can fight monster tajima suzuki
The front wings could have easily chopped the poor pedestrian legs or any cats/dogs crossing the road!
never think of putting spoiler at the front of the bumper..NFS team..way to go~!!
Race it next year at piker peak and give monster Tajima a run for his money. He has been winning the race too many times already. Make him eat some dust.
cool! i always admire those “pikes peak” look of a highly tuned cars.
Try Le Mans Next year to race agains Team Audi R8 LMS, Porsche and Peugeot.
Show them some colour !
I bet Rob Millen would be more than happy to jump from his Tacoma pickup Pikes Peak edition to this little compact dynamite
Woohoo! This is Ah Beng’s wet dream come true! 8D
waiting for this car to be evaluated by BMI team in USA…
(*yep…best motoring international where tsuchiya drive many2 tuned cars on twisties)
Rhys Millen in his Hyundai Genesis RMR JE09 will be envy of his dad if Rob drive one of this car at pikes peak next year.
