Volkswagen scooped up a total of 23 prizes – more than any other automobile brand – at the 59th International Festival of Creativity in the French city of Cannes.
The Cannes jury composed of 300 advertising professionals from around the world voted Volkswagen among the best in the industry in eight categories. And among all the wins, this particular video that we want to highlight is the Gold Lion winner in the Cyber Lions category.
It isn’t even a video that promotes a Volkswagen car, rather it’s a public safety message that tackles the issue of women drivers applying make-up in their cars while driving, which is said to cause 500,000 accidents annually in England alone.
“We are delighted with our success in Cannes. These 23 Lions are a wonderful achievement for us and our agencies. They also pick up on our two key brand values of responsibility and innovation and reaffirm our commitment to be creative and innovative the world over while at the same time never losing sight of our customers’ needs”, said Luca de Meo, Director of Marketing for the Volkswagen Group.
Watch the video, and if you know anyone who applies make up while driving, share this video with them!
