Volkswagen Beetle spotted in front of dealership

There are some things you just cannot hide. Take this car for instance. If you’re a car buff, you know what you’re looking at; reader Mohd Nazli knew.

Hidden under the covers is the new Volkswagen Beetle. There are plenty of telltale signs that gives the car away, including the silhouette and the outline of the bonnet. It also looks like this dealership is getting ready for the launch that will be happening this weekend, at KLCC, during the Volkswagen Das Auto Show.

Of course, we will be bringing you all the details you need when the VW Beetle is launched. If you haven’t done so already, we earlier posted two video teasers about the Beetle. Click the link to watch the videos.

  • Not sure why they must fully cover it when VW actually showed the new Beetle(albeit in LHD) at last year’s Das Auto Show to tease us.

Btw which one of you from this site is going to attend the media even this friday?

That cover is used to protect the car during shipping/ delivery. If I’m not mistaken, Porsche uses a cover like that too.

I know BMW uses the felt cover for some of their cars in transit to the various VPCs. Most automakers still stick with applying a heavy coat of protective wax for cars en route.

It’s not the new Beetle. Everyone knows how it looks already so no need to cover it up.

This is the new range of 991 soon to be launched here.

  • I am still in two minds of going to the Das Auto show. The last one I almost attended was terribly organized. Hope they had learnt their lesson by now.
