Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off three very special AMG show cars developed specifically for the ongoing 2012 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.
The SLK 55 AMG is the first – no changes to the 5.5 litre naturally-aspirated V8’s 415 hp and 540 Nm, but the car gets a Handling pack and is dressed up AMG Performance Studio extras that include a designo magno cashmere white metallic paint and designo two-tone Mystic Blue Exclusive leather upholstery.
There’s plenty of white stitching, and it features on just about everything that can be stitched. It also wears AMG interior carbon fibre trim and AMG illuminated door sills with white back-lighting, with things rounded off by AMG 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels in matt black.
Next, the C 63 AMG Coupe, which has an optional Performance Pack and is finished in a designo Mystic Blue exterior paint, contrasted with an interior decked out in designo Deep White upholstery with blue stitching. Yes, in keeping with things, blue stitching aplenty here.
More AMG carbon fibre trim on this one too for both exterior and interior, and the AMG illuminated door sills have a blue back-lighting. The Sydney special sits on AMG 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels in titanium grey.
Finally, there’s a SLS AMG Roadster, which is clad in a special paint called Coarse Silver, a shade coordinated with the Centre of Excellence and AMG Performance Studio.
