Petron celebrates first anniversary in Malaysia

Petron 1st anniversary

Petron Malaysia, part of Petron Corporation in the Philippines, kicked off its first anniversary celebrations at its Jalan Selayang service station last Saturday. From May 18 until mid-June, there will be fun-filled activities every Saturday at nearly 60 Petron stations in the Klang Valley.

The first anniversary event saw motorists and their families enjoy a day of games and activities that won them exclusive merchandise, while Smiles Cardholders redeemed points to purchase electronic items at the Treats convenience store. Keeping them entertained were a special choir performance by SMK Kepong as well as a very colourful dance show.

Petron 1st anniversary

“Petron is honoured to be part of its customers’ lives. This month-long celebration is our way of thanking them for supporting us throughout the year and we look forward to serving them better,” said Petron Malaysia retail business head Faridah Ali.

“We are passionate about fostering our relationship with our Malaysian customers everywhere in line with what our brand exemplifies—innovative products, excellent service, and successful partnerships built on trust, and caring for our customers,” she concluded.

Petron started operations after its successful acquisition of ExxonMobil’s downstream businesses in Malaysia in April 2012. Since then, 125 out of 550 stations nationwide have been rebranded, with the remainder to be done in phases up until 2014.

Check the facts before making any allegations.

The problem with Malauysian now is depending on hearsay without checking the validation of the news.

You want to debate about Petron? Please do so and i am awaiting you reply.

Check your facts before making any allegations. The problem with Malaysians now is too much depending on hearsay and wrong perception.

Do you have issue with Petron? Perhaps we can debate?

a simple search on the internet showed this.

“PETRONAS, short for Petroliam Nasional Berhad, is a Malaysian oil and gas company that was founded on August 17, 1974. Wholly owned by the Government of Malaysia”

Bro… u think wikipedia is going to tell you in full detail whats going on INSIDE Petronas??

Dr M (via his crony companies) own rights of all oil rigs in Malayia. If your house compound got oil beneath the soil, u don’t own it … Dr M does.

Wake up to the Malaysia we don’t read about in our papers.

Why do u think Dr M’s son runs Kencana Petrolium located in Dutamas?? That Porche Panamera parked in front – well its his.

I posted in reference to the above that he asked ‘ who owns petronas’. I already said it was a quick search.

I posted my sources. Care to post a few articles so I may do my own research on who owns the oil rig and so forth?

Putting aside the politics, I’ve no problem using the Petron oil. I’ve started using Petron since last year, and never regret converting from Petronas & Shell. The difference in fuel-saving is so much & it gives better engine performance.

It’s amazing what a free market can do.

It doesn’t matter what brand as most buy petrol either closest to home or near office.

But in floating open market price system, then you’ll see car owners going around shopping the best lowest petrol price as petrol station publish weekly or even daily new price as per global oil price fluctuates…let’s hope Bolehland not doing it in year 2019 lah HA HA HA

  • For those who think that Petron is owned by Mahathir’s family, please check the facts please before making any stupid statement based on hearsay.

And do not be stupid in boycotting things if you dislike.

Then please boycot Maxis, U-Mobile, Astro etc. All are owned by Mahatir’s cronies and proxys.

Like or Dislike: Thumb up 4 Thumb down 4
  • Petron name was registered way back 1973 in the Philipines and that is the reason why Petronas cannot sue Petron. Petronas was established in 1974.

PETRON = own by SAN MIGUEL Corp = Company of liquor and BEER. So please boycott PETRON. REMEMER, DON’T DRINK LIQUOR AND DRIVE USE PETRON FUEL.

Like or Dislike: Thumb up 0 Thumb down 2
    • San Miguel Corp did start as a beer company. However San Miguel has became a conglomerate which owns infrasturcture, banking, oil & gas, mobile network etc.

The beer business is just another division of San Miguel and has nothing to do with Petron.

Again please check the facts and even check with the ulamaks.
