Peugeot RCZ R: production car to debut at Goodwood

peugeot-rcz-r-paris-1

Remember the Peugeot RCZ R concept that premiered in Paris last year? Well, it seems it has become a production reality – the road-going version is set to make its international debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed early next month, ahead of its end-of-year launch.

As reported earlier, the car gets a 1.6 litre THP unit tuned to produce 260 hp, making it the most powerful road-going Peugeot ever to see the light of day. That’s a specific engine output of over 160 hp per litre (about the same as the Caparo T1‘s). CO2 emissions are targeted at 155 grams per km. Peugeot mentions a bespoke suspension set-up, unique wheel design and Torsen LSD.

    • Current manual version is 200hp, very powerful. Best thing is…fuel consumption is low (100km / 8.5L). Roadtax less than RM100.

can’t help wondering whether they could have done a better job to the front. personally, the current one looks much better.

also, why is it that malaysia only has 2 miserable colour choices?

This TT wannabe can only faster than base vanilla TT.TT S and TT RS will still smoke it and still have power to spare.Anyway it still a decent choice for those who want TT S performance but have smaller wallet.
