Car fans will probably immediately identify this camo-ed car as some kind of derivative of the McLaren MP4-12C, perhaps a facelift, but the reality is this MP4-12C shell is being used to test the underpinings of a new entry level ‘baby’ McLaren that has the Porsche 911 Turbo‘s market segment in its crosshairs.
Codenamed the McLaren P13, it’s expected to use a derivative of the MP4-12C’s 3.8 litre V8 with a power output of around 450 horsepower, down from the 625 horsepower in the MP4-12C and 737 PS in the McLaren P1. Alongside the MP4-12C and the P1, this will give McLaren a three car line-up.
A 2015 debut is planned for the P13. A relatively more affordable car will definitely mean more volume, which will be good news for Sime Darby’s McLaren Kuala Lumpur outlet, set to open in Mutiara Damansara, with an accompanying service centre in Glenmarie.

Are they even sure this thing is affordable? I hope so. Maybe RM250k – RM500k is doable
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
It should be at least slightly more expensive than the 911 Turbo. Which cost around 1.3Mil in Malaysia.
Hmm… Then bad news for McLaren KL. How this car will be affordable? I wonder how they keep thinking that everyone here is a Millioaire…
Seems like now is the best time to unveil the car, with mclaren averaging around 13th place every race, haha
