The second-gen Isuzu D-Max was finally launched in Malaysia back in May this year in double cab form. Now, the Isuzu D-Max Single Cab joins the range to provide business users another pick-up truck option.
The D-Max Single Cab starts with a 4×2 version, which offers the flexibility to customise the long bed according to user requirements. Choose from options such as luton, box or flat cargo beds using either wooden or steel constructions. Further options are available and can be adapted through counsel with Isuzu sales consultants. It is powered by the 4JA1-L turbocharged 2.5 litre engine with 79 PS and 176 Nm.
Above it sits the 4×4 version with a load bed that is the largest in class (2,305 mm long, 1,570 mm wide, capable of carrying six upright oil drums). It offers much more power than the 4×2, with a 136 PS/320 Nm Variable Geometry Turbo System (VGS) 4JK1-TCX 2.5 litre engine shared with the Double Cab. Both come with a five-speed manual gearbox.
The new D-Max Single Cab is priced from RM 60,411 OTR without insurance for the 4×2 variant, and RM 72,331 for the 4×4. Click here for info and pics of the D-Max Double Cab.
